Escape To Create is based in the picturesque walking community of Seaside, FL, widely hailed as the birthplace of New Urbanism and “the most astounding design achievement of its era” (Time Magazine). Located on the white sand beaches of the Gulf of Mexico in the panhandle of Northwest Florida, Seaside and neighboring beach towns along Scenic Highway 30A provide a unique setting for a multidisciplinary residential retreat. Founded in 1993 as a meaningful component of Seaside’s civic life and the only artist residency of its kind in the region, E2C has gained national attention for its impact on the local community and in the creative lives of our artists.
